April6 was declared the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 with the support of the International Olympic Committee, and has been celebrated each year ever since 2014.

When you register your project on the www.april6.org platform, you become eligible for the Peace and Sport “Initiative April 6” Award which rewards individuals and organizations who have taken part in celebrating April6 through a #WhiteCard initiative, or by holding an event to raise awareness about using sport as a tool for development and peace.
