Launch of crowdfunding campaign to save Wokana and Djénébou

On Monday 17th October, Monaco Collectif Humanitaire kickstarted its second online crowdfunding campaign with the support of their Ambassadeur, the footballer Olivier Giroud.
Wokana (15 months old from Burkina Faso) and Djénébou (7 years old from Mali) both suffer from debilitating heart conditions and need to be operated on as quickly as possible. The aim is to raise €20,000 in order to finance the necessary cardiological operations

Monaco Collectif Humanitaire remercie ses bénévoles

Mardi 4 octobre, la Direction de la Coopération Internationale, qui coordonne la chaîne de solidarité Monaco Collectif Humanitaire, a rassemblé les bénévoles du projet pour les remercier de leur engagement exemplaire qui a déjà permis d’opérer 300 enfants en Principauté.
Etaient présents à cette soirée la Croix-Rouge monégasque, l’ONG Rencontres Africaines, le Centre Cardio Thoracique, le Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace et la Direction de la Coopération Internationale (DCI).

Water Safety for the Health of Children in Kenya

AMREF and the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation implemented a joint programme at the beginning of 2016 which concentrates on teaching children in the district of Kilifi, located on the Kenyan coast, about water hygiene as well as being safe in and around the water.  The first results were promising.  With the collaboration and partnership of the Kenya Life Saving Federation, their swim instructors and water safety experts were able to train 312 school children and 12 teachers over the course of one month.  Six local schools, one of which accommodates children with special needs, too[...]
